Sidewalk Catwalk

I was recently in the city, near Time Square and spotted several mannequins on the street in the middle of Broadway. I was very intrigued by this so i looked into it further and discovered that it was a project called Sidewalk Catwalk. Some of the local designers contributed to it including Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, and Betsey Johnson, just to name a few. The concept of this pubic art event is basically to celebrate the fashion district itself, so designers were said to have used materials from the local area, to further stress this point. Here are some of the pictures that i took of the event, though it was a dark, rainy day.

My Hot Pink Buddha

Last week while on vacation in Bermuda, i stumbled into this treasure trove of a shop with all sorts of quirky things in it. At first it appeared as if it was your typical card shop, but as you walked down the isles, you saw that the shelves were stocked with whimsical things such as my hot pink Buddha Bank, that was simply a must have item.

Order your own Buddha Bank at thinkfasttoys.com!!

Boots!!!

One of my newest fashion obsessions are boots! I love little ankle boots, that have recently been popping up, back into style. They can add a perfect final touch to any outfit. They are so chic and yet wearable, affordable, and comfortable. High boots are also very fashionable as well. The thing about longer boots however is that you have to wear them right, meanwhile with ankle boots, you can wear them with shorts, pants, skirts, or dresses. Yesterday, i got a pair of the cutest little boots from a very unsuspecting store...Bass Shoes Outlet.

I LOVE these boots!!!

Vintage Chic

I love vintage items because they incorprate old and traditional with beautiful. Urban Outfitters is one of the stores that i love to shop in for vintage looking things. They have really nice sundresses, shirts, and skirts that are perfect for the summer. Another thing i like to do is go through vintage thrift shops. Its either hit or miss there, but occasionally you can find some real steals! I also really like Topshop, they have very cool items as well!
I love this lace-up skirt, $58 at urbanoutfitters.com

This dress is also from urbanoutfitters.com and is $68. Its such a cute piece to have.

I also really love this army Jacket $48 dollars at urbanoutfitters.com

Anna Sui Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2010

This Spring, i was lucky enough to attend Anna Sui's amazing Fall Collection 2010 which took place (for the last time) at Bryant Park. She is one of my new favorite designers. I cannot describe in words how incredible her collection was so i will show you some pictures from the show...

I also love all of the hats that she used to accessorize her collection... they were so spunky yet chic!
